Season 1

Episode 1 : In our pilot English episode, we have an introduction to Mangalam by JAINA President Dilip Shah. We also have a lecture on the meaning of Paryushan Parva by Gurudev Chitrabhanuji. The Episode concludes with the singing of Jain stavan Maitribhavanu, by Sanjivani. Information about Mangalam’s youth corner is also provided.

Episode 2 : This is our pilot Hindi episode. Once again, enjoy the introduction to Mangalam given by both Dilip Shah, and Dr. Mamta Shaha, chairperson of the Jaina Media Production Committee. There is also an informational lecture on Daslaxna by Swami Shutpragyaji. The episode concludes with Sanjivani’s rendition of Maitribhavanu, recorded in the Mangalam studios, just for our show.

Episode 3 : In this English episode, we begin with a lecture on Daslaxna given by Gurudev Chitrabhanuji. We also have a music segment highlighting Prabhu Parasnathnu naam Re, sung by Sanjivani. This episode also includes a dance by the Mehta Sisters as part of our Youth Corner.

Episode 4 : This Hindi episode begins with a lecture by Swami Shutpragyaji which is followed by the youth corner segment dance by the Mehta Sisters. This is followed by the rendition of Prabhu Parasnathnu Naam Re, by Sanjivani. We also have a segment on Jain Art with Surabhi Pandya, discussing the 3 stages of Atma.

Episode 5 : Gurudev Chitrabhanuji highlights the beginning of this episode with a lecture on what principles to follow life irrespective of labels. There is also a Bhakti Sangeet by Manhar Udhas. This is followed by a youth performance on the connection to India.

Episode 6 : In this similar Hindi episode, we have a lecture on the Concept of God in Jain Religion, followed by a song by Manhar Udhas. The youth corner performance on the connection to India at the San Francisco JAINA conference is also included.

Episode 7 : This English episode begins with a lecture by Gurudev Chitrabhanuji on What is the Purpose of Life. This is followed by a Bhakti Sangeet by Anuradha Podwal (Madhuban ke mandiro me). There is also a Jain Art segment with Surabhi Pandya on transmigration of the soul by virtue and karma.

Episode 8 : This Hindi episode highlights the same Bhakti Sangeet and Art segments by Anuradha Podwal and Surabhi Pandya. However, the lecture is different, given in Hindi on the definition and discussion of the Jain Universe, by Swami Shutpragyaji.

Episode 9 : In this episode, we begin with a segment on the interfaith world parliament conference which was held in Mexico. We also have several English interviews with Jain youths, followed by a Jain Art segment and a unique dance combination of Bhangra, Garba, and Raas by the Boston Jain Youth.

Episode 10 : In this episode, we have an Introduction by JAINA president Dilip Shah as well as Dr. Mamta Shaha. This is followed by the History of Jain Religion lecture by Sadhvi Shilaprji in English. This is followed by a Stavan and a dance segment by youth at the San Francisco JAINA convention.

Episode 11 : This is our first special full episode devoted to the Jain Center of New York, and their new temple on Ithaca Street in Queens, New York.

Episode 12 : This Hindi episode begins with a lecture on Jain Stihas by Sadvi Shilaprji. After a Stavan, there is a Garba performance by youth featured at the San Francisco JAINA convention.

Episode 13 : In our JAINA convention special series, this is the first episode, detailing events and highlights from the convention in Edison, New Jersey.

Episode 14 : Edison, NJ convention special; episode part II (English)

Episode 15 : Gurudev Chitrabhanuji starts off this episode with the meaning of Navkar Mantra. This is followed up by classical Stavan by young singer, Aastha. There are also youth interviews from that year’s YJA, young jains of America convention.

Episode 16 : This Hindi episode begins with the meaning of Navkar Mantra by Swami Shutpragyaji. This is followed by a Bhakti Sangeet and a youth singing segment as well as YJA interviews.

Episode 17 : This episode focuses on the Principles of Jain Religion. It begins with a lecture by Gurudev Chitrabhanuji and Rajendra Jain Bhajan sung by Aastha. The episode concludes with a Garba segment at the JAINA convention in San Francisco by the Jain youth.

Episode 18 : This Hindi episode also discusses the principles of Jain religion as put forth by Swami Shutpragyaji. The same Rajendra Jain Bhajan follows and concludes the episode with the Garba segment from the JAINA convention.

Episode 19 : In our 19th episode, Gurudev Chitrabhanuji specifically discusses the nine elements of Jain religion in English. This is followed by the first part of a dance drama series special for Mahavir Jayanti (called 14 Dreams). Stay tuned for the second part as well!

Episode 20 : Episode 20 begins with a lecture by Swami Shutpragyaji, similar to Gurudev’s lecture on the nine elements of Jain religion, in Hindi. Then, enjoy part II of the 14 Dreams Dance Drama performed during Mahavir Jayanti.

Episode 21 : This English episode begins with this year’s YJA keynote lecture delivered by Gurudev Chitrabhanuji. Also, we have the conclusion (part III) of the 14 Dreams Dance Drama.

Episode 22 : In episode 22, we focus on Karmavad, beginning with a very interesting lecture on gyanavarniya and darshanavarniya karma by Swami Shutpragyaji. This is followed by the dance drama segment (14 Dreams), as well as a description of Jain paintings done by Shefali.

Episode 23 : This English episode highlights the interfaith discussion and visit of the Pope. There is also a youth dance for the JCA pratistha. There is also a segment with youth interviews from YJA.

Episode 24 : This Hindi episode discusses Darshamohaniya Karma in a lecture by Swami Shutpragyaji. A youth dance for the JCA pratistha follows (Dada Adeshwar Albela), with the episode ending on a description of Jain Art by Shefali.

Episode 25 : Episode 25 is an English episode beginning with highlights from this year’s YJA convention. It also features youth interviews taken live from the YJA convention.

Episode 26 : The last episode of the 1st season is a Hindi segment with a lecture on Charitrya Mohaniya Karma given for Mangalam by Swami Shutpragyaji. This is followed by a youth singer stavan (Aastha), and a detailed discussion of Jain Art by Shefali.

Episode 114: Hindi – In this episode we present the Bhaktamber dance Drama Part One. This was beautifully performed by Adinath Jinalaya pathshala students of Jain Center of America, on Mahaveer Jayanti 2011.

Episode 115: Hindi – Here we present the second part of the beautiful Bhaktamber Dance Drama.  After the drama, we have Jain global news by our host Rushabh Mehta.

Episode 116: English – In this episode Gurudev Chitrabhanuji explains about the Divinity that resides in us all and how we can realize it. We present  Jain news from around the world followed by a dance performance.  We have youngsters talk about their art project. In the end we leave with a quote for you to ponder upon.

Episode 117: Hindi – Swami Shrutpragyaji  explains about different levels of spirituality, and simple ways of achieving them. This is presented in 2 parts. In this episode we bring the first part to you. We have beautiful dance performance for you to enjoy. Our young &dynamic host Rushabh Mehta will bring news form the Jain communities around the world. Episode ends with a thought for the week for you to peruse.

Episode 118: English – in last episode we learnt from Gurudev Chitrabhanuji about the divinity within ourselves. Today he tells us the easy way of reaching that divinity. You have been celebrating janma Kalyanak of Tirthankars by puja. Today our youngsters present the same puja in a very unique musical style. We will have global Jain news and quote for the week.

Episode 120: Hindi – In this episode we present the second part of the lecture by Swami Shrutpragyaji about levels of spirituality and today he talks about the easy, simple things we do to reach the higher spiritual level. A dance performance by our youngsters, Jain news and a skit by kids about what they learn in pathshala and how they use that in daily life.

Episode 120: English – What is karma? It is nothing but freedom of action. What does that mean? Gurudev Chitrabhanuji explains this in a very simple direct way. We have kids perform a musical number. We give you news from around the world and in the end kids present their art project. We leave you with a quote to ponder upon.
